About Us
Founded in 1977, Carson Concrete Corporation serves as one of the leading concrete construction companies in the Philadelphia area. The company has completed more than 800 projects, including some of the most notable in the region. These include the construction of Liberty One in Philadelphia, which at the time of its construction was the largest structure in the city and Citizens Bank Park, the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, which required more than 60,000 cubic yards of concrete on a 22-acre site. The company also prides itself on the speed with which it can construct reliable, safe structures. Carson Concrete completed its work on the MBNA America building in Wilmington, Delaware, in less than six months. This represented an impressive achievement as the structure required 400,000 square feet of parking and four miles of reinforced concrete walls. Furthermore, the company built each 20,000-square-foot floor of the 35-story Buttonwood Apartment building in Philadelphia in a three-day cycle.
Founder Anthony Samango, Jr., credits the success of Carson Concrete Corporation to his lifetime involvement in the construction industry. As a youth, he grew up around the profession, and built up his expertise by working as a laborer and carpenter. Prior to founding Carson Concrete, Mr. Samango ran a company, which, for 15 years, set reinforcing steel for concrete subcontractors and general contractors in the New Jersey and Philadelphia regions.
